Pasture Raised Broilers
Here at Vintage Farms, we believe in natural farming to achieve exceptional food.
Shade, access to clean & always fresh water, lots of room to socialize during the daily dust bath, plenty of sunshine, and fresh air keep our broilers happy and healthy.
Once fully feathered, our broilers live on pasture. While sectional fencing and a large wire cage protect them from predators at night, they are free to roam during the day.
The nutritious diet of insects, bugs, grass, and supplemental organic non-GMO broiler feed, provides everything they need to grow into healthy birds.
Our pastures are pesticide and artificial fertilizer-free. We never use antibiotics, treat our animals with hormones of any kind or mRNA-vaccines!
FAQs
What do your broilers cost?
Our broilers typically range from 4-7lb, and we sell them by weight at $4/lb.
Do you sell broilers all year?
No. Because our broilers are pasture-raised, we sell them in late summer or early fall only. Sometimes we have a few frozen ones into the winter months.
If you are interested in our broilers, we suggest you pre-order yours today!
Are they organic?
While we follow organic standards, we are currently not USDA certified.
Our broilers are never treated with antibiotics or hormones and allowed to free range on our pesticide and artificial fertilizer-free pastures, with access to supplemental organic & non-GMO feed as needed. All of our birds are mRNA-vaccine free!
How do you keep your chickens heathy?
Good nutrition from day one, natural growth, space, and lots of fresh air and sun is vital. Our birds are never held in overcrowded enclosures or small pens. The sectional rotation on the pasture prevents not only manure build-up but also diseases. Fresh water delivered through a closed, on demand delivering system prevents manure contamination.
Are your broilers available at Farmers’ Markets or local stores?
As per Texas regulation HB 410, our broilers can only be purchased directly from us and must be picked up here at the farm in Joaquin. We only sell to consumers; commercial buyers or restaurants are, unfortunately, ineligible to buy from us.
